One day, after walking fifty berums,a landscape appeared.
[The land here is also fertile. My friend, for the first time, I felt happy to travel far away.]Gilgamesh drank the morning dew.
By the third day they had climbed over the hill, Enkidu had unpacked his knapsack, picked up his slender bone rod and encamped.
They walked under a tree, where an old man was sitting, his face looked sad.
[Why do you look so sad, old man? ]Asked Endiku. Gilgamesh stood behind him, without saying a word.
[It was the last day of the seventh Sunday, and I was doomed to go to hell in pain.]Crying, the old man took out a huge ruby from his bosom.
[I found it from a cave. On that day, I thought I was lucky goddess visited, but the the patron saint ,Turk suddenly appeared, it rebuke me rude and steal its wealth. I asked it for mercy and promised to worship every year, it give me a puzzle, but I can't get the answer.]
Gilgamesh asked.[Old man, do you know where the tree with seven nests is?]
[Seven bird's nests, it's amazing. But my hunter friend must know about it. He lives in a distant forest, in a wooden house.]
[How long is the trip from here?]
[If I lead the way, I'll take twelve berums.]The old man shook his head.
Gilgamesh took out his weapon, but Enkidu stopped him.[My friend, don't worry, can you tell us the riddle?]
The old man looked at Enkidu's face, hesitated for a moment, and drew it with a reed. [I was born in this world, and it lay at my feet. I dealt with his brother every day.
Day after day, one day, it suddenly grabbed my neck and told me to sleep again.]
Enkidu walked away, and then said to Gilgamesh, [My friend, what lies at our feet, and we deal with his brother?]
Gilgamesh shook his head and dug a well into the sunset, brandishing his long sword.[My friend, we can cut off the head of the Turk together.]
Enkidu did not refuse his friend's advice. That night, a hurricane blowed, a giant lizard head and a bovine body monster suddenly landed. [Tell me your answer, old man, or I'll punish you for your rudeness.]
Enkidu quickly stood in front of Turk, trying to stop him. Gilgamesh made a detour around the back of Turk and thrust the sharp sword into his ribs. Turk angrily broke Gilgamesh's back.[Rat with a despicable act, your sword stab into my body, but not enough to kill me,i have infinite strength and i blow the hurricane. I feet on land, can make the forest thriller. You aroused my anger, you also have to riddle, or I will let you feel endless pain.]
Gilgamesh wiped the blood and stood up from the ground.[The answer is wealth. I was born with endless wealth. I deal with jewelry every day.But it will makes me myopic.]
Turk's nose exhaled white air, and the red tongue swallowed up and down. [You're wrong. You have another chance.I am ready to hang you on the fir tree, wind and rain, let the eagle peck at your flesh, let the beast gnaw at your bones.]
Enkidu opening his arms.[The answer is death. Man is born on the earth, and he steps on death. Every day he deals with life and finally is taken away by death.]Turk angrily trod the tree down and twirled it back and forth with eyes as sharp as a dagger.[Ignorant man, you answered the riddle, but you made me angry, and you're going to die.]
Enkidu Suddenly caught lizard's head, struggled with it.Gilgamesh jumped above the body, thorn in the neck of Turk, the blood spattered on the grass, soon it fell to the ground and not move.
[We must have caused the wrath of the gods again, my friend, but your courage is extraordinary. Your sword is sharper than ever.I believe you will be successful.] Enkidu watched Gilgamesh then smiled sweetly.
